The cutter Escanaba was homeported in Grand Haven for its career on the lakes, which includes more rescues than any other Coast Guard vessel on the lakes. Join historian Ric Mixter as he shares rare footage of the launch and career of the Esky along with inteviews from the men who not only were saved, but survived when the ship exploded off Greenland in 1943.
